Several mysterious arrests happened in Almaty recently: on 10 May the office-manager of KTK Vitaly Piskunov was arrested and taken away from his house. Later the police arrested the staff of the President’s guards service Nurlan Sarypbekov. On 12 May he was hospitalized after being interrogated. He was a bodyguard of Dariga Nazarbayeva. The KTK staff member is also in the hospital.

It is reported by Kazakhstan today, in Russian. Seems like certain groups have some issues to resolve…

The strangest thing to me is KTK’s reaction. Perhaps I am just watching the TV at the wrong time, but I have seen nothing on the kidnapping on their station. Wouldn’t you think if say Rupert Murdoch were kidnapped, Fox and Fox News would be talking about it non-stop? I’m glad he was released, though it sounds like he is still not out of the woods…

this is all about bias in the monopolized media.
these men were officially brought to police for interrogation in connection with the abduction of ex-deputy chairman of the board in Nur-Bank, controlled by Aliev - just like KZ-Today agency and KTK TV and many other companies. tomorrow i will post a highly detailed update in russian.
