The Respublika Avenue after intersection with Seifullin Street becomes Pushkin Street. There is a monument to the great Russian poet; the sculpture is a gift to the city, made by Mr. Stolpovskih, a Russian citizen, in 1999. Pushkin stands in the center of little park and represents a light and picturesque composition - vivid, fresh and dynamic.

Regretfully, this is the only monument I know in Astana, which pictures a person’s mood and character so nicely.
