A horse for a nomad was always more than just a cattle. It was a food, a transport and a status thing. There are horses in the monuments of Astana too.
For example, on the riverside there is a monument to Kenesary Khan, or as locals say, a monument to the Horse of Kenesary Khan:

There is another grandious monument featuring horse - a monument to Bogenbai batyr, the warrior.
No doubt, both sculptures are monumental… But how do the authors of these works explain this?
