Now Mongolia is being assimilated into China. Around new 50000 Cninese workers, immigrants settle into Mongolia every year , but Mongolian total population is only 2 million. I 'm afraid in near future ethnic Chinese will be majority in Mongolia. Kazakh brothers, help us fight against Chinese

but Buddism came to Mongolia 16 th centuty and Mongolian mens heart has become weak and powerless as now. I'm ethnic Mongolian but I hate Buddism. Before Buddism Mongolians believed in Shaman so we were brave and powerful as same as Kazahks today

Mongolians and Kazakhs both have similar nomadic life style and similar similar nomadic shelter- yurta. Only big difference between us is religion. Kazakhs believe in Islam , Mongolians in Buddism

I 'm Mongolian and I 'm pleased to talk to Kazakhian freinds. I think ethnik Mongolians , Kazakhs, Kirgiz, Turks, Tatars, Bashkirs, Yakuts all have same origin - ancient pre-historic Altai language speaking nomadic nation . Especially Kazakh language more similar to Mongolian language. Our 70% of all words have same origin.

Dear Aksakal,
I'm sorry if the historical overview is lacking, I was trying to write a round-up and had originally double-checked the facts with someone who knows the history (and the article is based on some scientific reading). The details were left out, since my aim wasn't to write historical thesis, but highlight differences between the two groups of the Kazakhs. I would invite you to write a "corrected" outline to make things clearer.

This is most horriblest historical overview i have ever seen in my life..

1: fact is that it were not chinese who defeaded Oirats. (they splited themselfes after a citizen war into Kalmyks and Dzungars).

2: fact is that it were khalka mongols, who destroyed Dzugars with logistical and millitary help of manchurian royals.

3: fact is that Kazakhs moved into Dzugaria because former dzungarian population was almost wiped out by machurian army or assimilated by khalka mongols. (see history of Amdo and Dzungaria) many of them were killed in 18-19 centries by epidemic plague and later immigrated into Russia (Burjat and Kalmyk areas).

4: fact is that Qing impire got parts of Dzungaria first in 1911.
